No skipped beat but paying closer attention

Friends and family,
Your prayers are amazing. We are in need of some more. But hope shines anew. We just learned via email that our congressman's office was able to get the OK from the US consulate here in Guangzhou to move our exit interview up to the 16th and the swearing in to the 17th. The swearing in cannot take place until 4pm. The last flight out of Hong Kong towards where we are going is at 6:30 that night. Alas, we are 3 hours away from the airport so we cannot leave until Saturday. This all sounds well and good, but in some ways, getting flights to work out will be even a bigger headache than getting the appointments changed. John Boehner has a lot of power, but I don't think he can make United airlines fly a special flight for us or get them to allow us to switch over our tickets easily! Further problems with our tickets mean that we are going to have to buy another ticket for Elijah which will have to be full fee. This is OK as I recommitted that our finances were God's finances this morning during quiet time. Not that He needed my permission or anything! We still may be able to make it home in time for the adoption Sunday, but a lot really still needs to happen in a very crisp order.

Please pray that our appointments for those days can be confirmed. We should know this by the time we wake up tomorrow. Please pray that flights work out such that we can get back home by Saturday evening.

He who created a good work in us will be faithful to complete it. Of this we are certain. We do not know the expected date of completion, but that is why we are not the foremen.
